Unicom Services, Inc. Selects SpaceCom International, LLC to Provide Managed Network Services Over Satellite to Support Land Based Drilling and Construction Throughout the U.S.
FAIRFAX, VA--(Marketwire - December 3, 2012) - SpaceCom International, LLC (SpaceCom) today announced that it signed a contract with Unicom Services, Inc. for Managed Network Services to support its Oil & Gas drillings sites, land based systems, construction sites and industrial locations throughout the U.S. The multi-year contract, valued at more than $500,000, will support voice, data and fax over IP applications in remote areas, with little to no infrastructure. SpaceCom's knowledge and experience in the network design, optimization and management of satellite networks in remote areas lends itself particularly well to the Oil & Gas market. SpaceCom will be responsible for overall network management, to include building, loading and managing satellite, internet and other hub related resources, while Unicom supplies and maintains the various remote sites, RF & baseband equipment and applications.
