GuestLogix Inc.

Company's Onboard Retail Technology Will Be Used by Sun Country to Offer Destination-Based Products and Services for Sale Onboard

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - August 24, 2012) - GuestLogix Inc. (TSX: GXI), the leading global provider of onboard retail and payment technology solutions to airlines and the passenger travel industry, announced today that Minnesota-based Sun Country Airlines has selected the Company's OnTouch(R) Retail Technology and Merchandising Platform to sell a variety of destination-based products and services onboard its entire fleet, representing more than 1.2 million annual passenger trips.

"GuestLogix' partnership with Sun Country is the first fleet-wide implementation of our OnTouch(R) Merchandising Platform in North America," said Tom Douramakos, President and CEO of GuestLogix. "We expect to see more implementations of this kind in North America. Sun Country will be deploying our latest technology and tapping into our extensive network of destination content partners. Our technology gives airlines the flexibility to deploy our platform via multiple different customer touch points. For example, passengers can access our merchandising platform via flight attendant operated POS devices, their own smartphones and tablets and the airline's in-flight entertainment system such as digEplayer devices."

Through GuestLogix' OnTouch(R) Merchandising Platform, Sun Country will offer passengers the opportunity to purchase tickets to theatrical events, passes to popular attractions and ground transportation offers, including shuttles, shared rides and private limos, all from the comfort of their airplane seat.

"A major factor in Sun Country choosing GuestLogix was the Company's innovative OnTouch(R) Merchandising Platform that will allow us to sell new and exciting destination-based products and services to our passengers onboard the aircraft," said Deb Diepholz, Sun Country Airlines' VP Product and Planning. "Flying Sun Country isn't your typical airline experience. We work hard to ensure our passengers receive award-winning customer service throughout their travel journey. We pride ourselves in offering great in-flight amenities. The GuestLogix' merchandising platform will definitely play a critical part in Sun Country creating the best in-flight experience for our passengers."

Under the agreement, Sun Country will deploy GuestLogix' leading Onboard Retail Technology Platform and next-generation XPDA-SP point-of-sale (POS) handheld devices to process sales of destination-based offerings, in addition to food and beverages, duty free items and in-flight entertainment. The XPDA-SP devices will enable EMV Contactless and NFC/mobile payment options. Prior to this, Sun Country accepted cash onboard and handled its own credit card processing.

"GuestLogix is thrilled to be helping Sun Country enhance the onboard experience for their passengers by offering a unique array of destination-related products and services for sale onboard that is supported by our leading-edge transaction processing technology," said Patrick O'Neill, Senior Vice President and General Manager, GuestLogix USA. "Not only are we creating and deploying innovative technology for the airline industry, but we are also helping airlines such as Sun Country generate a better passenger experience and ultimately create brand loyalty."

Sun Country also has the option to sell destination-based products and services at the gate or lounge through GuestLogix kiosks or mobile POS devices. In addition, Sun Country has the option to deploy the Company's Passenger Cabin Experience Module, allowing the airline to further enhance its processes by identifying cabin conditions such as broken seats and food issues, as well as to engage GuestLogix to create a custom marketing plan to drive passenger awareness for its onboard retail initiatives. Sun Country will deploy OnTouch(R) by the end of this year.
