Mercuria Energy Successfully Raises USD 1,700,000,000 and EUR 145,000,000 Multicurrency Revolving Credit Facilities

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND--(Marketwire - June 1, 2012) - Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. ("Mercuria Energy" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the successful signing on 24th of May 2012 of its new USD 1,700,000,000 364-day multicurrency and EUR 145,000,000 3-year revolving credit facilities. ABN AMRO Bank N.V., BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, ING Bank N.V., Natixis, Rabobank International, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (the corporate and investment banking division of Société Générale) and Standard Chartered Bank acted as Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners for the facilities.

 

These new facilities will be used for general corporate purposes and to refinance the Company''s maturing USD 1,395,000,000 364-day revolving credit facility dated 3rd June 2011. The existing USD 250,000,000 3-year revolving credit facility will remain in place. The new Euro facility carries a 364-day extension option exercisable at the Company''s request and at the discretion of each lender.

 

The new facilities were significantly oversubscribed and subsequently increased to USD 1,700,000,000 and EUR 145,000,000 respectively, following strong demand from the market.
